Location: Parliament St. and Carlton St. Cabbagetown, Toronto

The City of Toronto acknowledges that we are on the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnaabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. The City also acknowledges that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 signed with the Mississaugas of the Credit, and the Williams Treaties signed with multiple Mississaugas and Chippewa bands.

We remember those who came here involuntarily, particularly those brought to these lands as a result of the trans-Atlantic slave trade and slavery. We pay tribute to those ancestors of African and Indian origin and descent. This city was built on the land and labour of Black, Indigenous, and racialized people.

With over 250 vendors, we’re taking over Parliament Street (from Gerrard to Wellesley) and Carlton Street (from Parliament to Ontario) for a weekend packed with entertainment, delicious food, unique shopping, and fun for all ages.

Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in store:

  • Live Music & DJs: Dance to the beats of EDM DJs, sway to the rhythms of blues bands, and enjoy a diverse lineup of live performances, including indigenous artists and drag shows.

  • Street Performers: Be amazed by stilt walkers, acrobats, and other incredible street performers bringing energy and excitement to every corner of the festival.

  • Artisan Stalls & Unique Shops: Discover one-of-a-kind handcrafted goods, from jewelry to home décor, at stalls featuring local artisans and small businesses.

  • Craft Beer & Food Trucks: Savor flavors from around the world with a fantastic selection of food trucks, pop-up patios, and restaurants offering everything from gourmet street food to refreshing craft beer.

  • Kids Zone: Keep the little ones entertained with games, activities, and kid-friendly performances designed just for them.

  • Parade & Cultural Celebrations: Celebrate the diverse cultures that make Cabbagetown special with a vibrant parade and cultural showcases.

  • Parliament Street (from Gerrard St. to Wellesley St.), and Carlton Street (from Parliament St. to Ontario St. close to traffic on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 6 a.m., and reopen on Sunday, Sept. 8 at 11 p.m. 

  • The annual Closing Parade, on Sunday, September 8 at 6:20pm, will mark the end of the festival. Local Afro–Brazilian samba reggae percussion ensemble TDot Batu will lead an energetic and lively parade, open for all festival goers to join. The community parade will run up Parliament Street, starting at Gerrard and ending at Wellesley with a huge dance party.

  • The Cabbagetown Art & Craft Show, St. Jamestown Festival, Cabbagetown community-wide Yard Sale, and Blair’s Charity Run are all happening over the same weekend in the area.

  • YES! The always popular Kids Zone, situated on Carlton Street, between Parliament and Ontario, will feature a kids’ stage programmed with live music, magic acts, reptile shows and more, alongside additional family-friendly entertainment including bouncy castles, crafts tables, balloons, face painters and stilt walkers. All Kid’s Zone activities are free.
